MUSIC OF THE DAY... K'NAAN - THE WALL

K'naan was born Keinan Abdi Warsame in 1978. He is a Somali Canadian poet, rapper, singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist. Yeah he really is a complete package... :)

He is one poet I think would appeal to any one with his unique style of presenting his words and conveying his message.
I remember I got so obsessed with him some years back that I attempted sketching his picture off his album cover... LOLz! #Nohomo though... This song "THE WALL" off album titled "Country, God or the girl" is one of his very many works I find so interesting so I decided to share it so you all can have your say on what you think about  it... Cheers!!

Is this love making or masturbation if every touch feels like instigation
I'm so sure if we all trusted the force of love

PREZZO'S POEM ON THE PASSAGE TO ETERNITY OF GOLDIE

Kenyan Rapper Jackson Makini a.k.a Prezzo has finally broken his silence on the passing of his Nigerian girlfriend, Goldie Harvey.

In a sorrowful poem shared on his Facebook page he described his pain at the loss of his fellow BBA StarGame contestant.

“God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not meant to be
So he put his arms around you, and whispered come with me
With tearful eyes we watched you, as we saw you pass away
Although we love you deeply, we could not make you stay
Your golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us...

Prezzo and Goldie had been dating since their stint in the Big Brother house.

Happy valentine's day all!!!!
its the season of love again
let us make the most of it
to our partners and the outside world
let us also remember that valentine is not all about our BFs/GFs
so many people take it as a time of exchanging gifts between their lovers
some for romantic evenings with R Kelly to render music and candle to give light

others as a time for energy draining sex
while nobody remembers the hungry and helpless sets
crying and weeping for food to eat

let us take a little time out to give to the less privileged around us

"Give a little love to someone cos someone needs your love to survive"

Let  us make it a Val of giving
not just to our partners but also our neighbors
not just to our families but also to the unfortunate ones
Let us bear in mind that love is all about giving
for it was that God loved us that he gave his only son
go out there and show love
Let us put a smile on someone's face

and be remembered forever for loving right...

THE PERFECT GIFT FOR A LONG LASTED LOVE

I found love!

and because this is the season of love,

I want to tell you all about her.

This love is worth singing about,

enough for me to run my mouth.

Funny enough this love has always been there for me,

even when I really didn't notice,

been there from my childhood.

This love accepted me when others rejected me

gave me a shoulder to cry upon when there was no other

and even when I refrained from this love

when I betrayed our affection

she didn't turn her back on me when I needed attention

when I went out there looking for love that didn't exist

looking for love from hypocrites and 'fronters'

starting all over when supposed loves becomes defaulters

this Love welcomed me back to her arms when I was broken.

When I was rich and when I was poor

this love does it all

please allow me to introduce you to this love

but firstly I must inquire what the perfect val gift would be for this my love.

Something that would show how much I really care.

Well I guess it shouldn't be far fetched

and so my gift to you my val is a Red bed-sheet!!!

ANOTHER YEAR GONE...

Wow! how so fast time flies

or should I say how so fast 2012 flew?

So many didn't think 2012 would end

they thought the world would end!

Goals still were set,

goals were achieved

Babies were born,

People were lost

unions were blessed in holy matrimony

(to those still searching,the Lord is your muscles)

surprises sprung up from the unexpected

disappointments broke our hearts a few times

but we all are alive to read this :D

To those who met disappointment

be sure that it isn't the end of the world

there's a whole 2013 waiting for you to use up

work on your wrongs

explore your natural abilities

lay aside every unnecessary weights

and work towards perfection

Worry less about tomorrow

for it is always tomorrow in Australia :)

Never forget to laugh,

no matter how difficult life presents his situations.

Also be sure not to make people's life more difficult,

as life in itself presents enough stress and troubles for all.
When you keep looking and don't find no solutions,
close your eyes and see from the inside.
You'd always see more with your eyes close

Keep your priorities straight

don't let the SEEMING success of others put pressure on you.

Understand that activity is not necessarily Accomplishment

that person that you envy

just might be facing a whole lot than you are!

A Fulfilled Day...

A fulfilled day...
what could make a day fulfilled?
is it by the amount of tasks accomplished?
is a day fulfilled by the number of task achieved?
could it be by the number of incentives received?
how come so many persons end their day without fulfillment?
could it be that they set too high a standard for themselves?
or they measure the fulfillment of each day by what they get?
truth is everybody can have a fulfilled day everyday :)
if only we can change the basics for which our days are fulfilled.
Do what you can and leave what you cant
for no matter how hard you try,
there would always be something more to do.

 A fulfilled day should be measured more on the seeds we sow 
than the harvest we gather...
A fulfilled day should be measured more on how much we give
than our much we receive...
A fulfilled day should be measured more on the number of people
we put to smile than those that puts us to smile ...



so therefore set your sight and thoughts on bringing smile to someone each day
and fulfillment would not be far from your closet.

A heavy heart... Death prevails again

hearts are heavy

eyes are full with tears

why do people die?

why do they die the way they do?

why do people die?

why do men die?

must man die?

what does it feel like to lose a close person to death?

what is the solace for death?

why do man plot evil against a fellow man?

where do men get the courage to kill a fellow man from?

how do we pay back death?

does death give man an escape from the world?

is death cruel?

if it is then how do we prosecute death?

my hands are cold,

my heart is heavy,

but the man to whom death was cruel to,

isn't even of my household,

yes close, but not of my household.

how then would his family take his exit from earth?

his wife, his kids and his congregation?

if death is cruel,

what then shall be said of the men by whose hands death was made?

 my hands are cold,

my heart is heavy.

if truly death is inevitable,

 what then is the best way to die?

what can be done when death comes walking by?

eyes are yet to run dry,

for a man close to many has been denied life,

through the hands of some other men,

the inevitable has taken place,

and left a few others grieved,

may his gentle soul REST IN PERFECT PEACE
